In his work, Joost van den Toorn (born 1954) regularly uses items he has found or bought. He changed the breasts of this pin-up girl he purchased at a flea market into phalluses and cast the sculpture in bronze. 'The pin-up girl is a male invention. The phalluses turn the concept around and no one knows what to make of it any more.' The artist also questions the role that sexuality seems to play in our identity nowadays. This multiple in porcelain has been specially produced for the museum. Number of copies: 50.
